Headteacher, St Breward Primary School

I am passionate about education and have a particular interest in supporting small schools. 

I studied science with a master’s in marine science.  It wasn't until some years later that I decided to complete my PGCE and change to a career in teaching.  I started working in a larger school teaching Year 3 but went on to teach KS2 at a small school in South Cornwall.  I quickly discovered the challenges faced by small schools and mixed age teaching.  I enjoyed this experience, the nurturing environment and the responsibility that came with it.

I took on the role of Headteacher at St Breward Primary School in September 2023.  The school is situated in the heart of Bodmin Moor, and this is reflected in our diverse and inspiring curriculum.  I look forward to continuing my career with NCLT and working with the fantastic staff and children.
