Headteacher, St Teath Primary School
I have been involved in education in Cornwall for over 20 years. Starting my career in Newquay, then teaching in St Teath School for a number of years before leaving for my first small school headship in Liskeard. I moved on from that to two larger school headships in Cornwall at Padstow and St Minver, before establishing and becoming a Director of a large Academy Trust. Throughout this time, I also worked as an Ofsted Inspector and worked closely with schools in London on school improvement and Ofsted readiness.
Two years ago I took up a post as a School Inspector in Dubai, where I enjoyed a successful contract working across large Secondary School provision.
It is great to return home to St Teath and North Cornwall. Putting the community at the heart of our schools is something that I value above all else in education. We have a wonderful community here and I very much look forward to ensuring that our pupils are a key part of its development.
